Personalised nutrition: eat to your data

You’ve tried the diet your colleague swears by. It worked for them. It did very little for you.

That isn’t a willpower problem. The same food affects different people in different ways.

What the research shows

Researchers at the Weizmann Institute tracked blood sugar continuously in 800 people and measured their responses to nearly 47,000 meals. Responses to identical meals varied widely from person to person, which suggests one-size dietary advice has limited value. In a follow-up trial, diets built from each person’s data, including their gut bacteria, lowered their blood sugar response after meals (Zeevi et al., Cell, 2015).

How I build a plan

  1. Test first. Blood work through our partners at Orba Health, plus body composition. We work from your numbers, not a template.
  2. Look at how you actually eat. Travel, client dinners, late meetings. The plan has to fit the week you have.
  3. Adjust one thing at a time. When I want to drop body fat, I don’t cut the amount I eat. I change the macros, or the order I eat them in. Then I watch what happens.
  4. Measure again. Retest, compare, keep what worked.

Where to start this week

  • Eat protein at every meal, starting with breakfast.
  • Notice how you feel 2 hours after lunch. Write it down.
  • Keep a simple log for 7 days: what, when, and your energy afterwards.

We don’t track results. We track what caused them.
